@chappellroan and @rainbowbrite mashup tattoo?! Yes please!!! What a dream to tattoo Chappell Roan in a Rainbow Brite style and what’s more, it’s on a super rad client! Mally couldn’t choose her favorite Chappell outfit so we did this as a roulette where she picked the outfit at random! She picked Hot To Go and we were both pretty jazzed about the outcome. We took inspiration from the music video and live performances.

I have so much fun doing these Rainbow Brite mashups and would LOVE to do more!

It also just felt perfect that we happened to schedule this appointment on the first day of 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Pride Month!

Today I received this lovely print from my dear client Sara. She has been so supportive while I’ve been struggling with Winnie’s care and her passing.

It’s been 4 weeks since we said goodbye and I’m still a crying mess most days. I’m thankful to have such supportive people in my life though. Thank you all! Please give your doggos some butt scritches for me and tell them I say hi!

With broken hearts, we said goodbye to the goodest girl, Winnie yesterday. Last week we found out she had an aggressive bone cancer. So we spent the weekend spoiling her with love, snuggles, snacks and car rides. Winnie filled our hearts with so much love and words cannot express how much she will be missed. Please kiss your pets and give them scritches for us.

I got to make this cute R2-D2 for @midwesterncurves to go with the Lisa Frank Princess Leia I did for her a couple years ago!

This leg pieces started out with the Bertie Bott’s ice cream cone from my wanna-dos and then Tari asked me to add a few illustrations from the Wizard of Oz book series.

It’s always bittersweet finishing a large piece like this. On one hand it’s so great to see the tattoo in completion. The other hand? Knowing that the project is done and you may not see that client again soon, if ever, is a bummer! You spend hours together chatting, learning about each other and getting all the juicy gossip on whatever reality show you’re watching. Haha. Seeing my regulars/large project pieces is something I look forward to each month. 😊

What’s your favorite Studio Ghibli movie?

I’ve had the pleasure of adding a number of Studio Ghibli pieces on Andrea over the years. This one was unique in that I didn’t have and characters. I love the way it nestled right in among the other pieces.

These keychain pieces have been such a joy for me to make! I love finding ways to make each one as unique as the person wearing it.

Sami asked for a Muppet Theater keychain and wanted to include Rainbow Connection, Pigs in Space as well as Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. The original design had a charm of Dr. Teeth but Sami felt that if she was gonna have a single character charm that she’s prefer Kermie (fair! and same) so we swapped out Dr. Teeth! Like a dingus, I forgot my 🍎 pencil at home and had to draw Kermit with my finger! Haha. We made it work and I love the way it turned out in the end!

What themed keychain would you want to get? I have a few already designed in my wanna-dos/available designs story highlights but I love hearing the other ideas people have. Is it from a show? A book? A movie? A real place?! The possibilities are literally endless! 🌈💖 Obviously I would get one of Rainbow Land from Rainbow Brite!
